The blues originally belonged to Kitwood Stud which was sold to a new starter in 2008. We hoped this would be a new fancier to the hobby but by the summer of 2010 the stud had become somewhat depleted and as I could see he wasn't going to become a show supporter I asked if I could aquire the remainging rabbits back as I didn't want to see the bloodline lost. By this time there was one one trio left which were duly brought back 'home'. They consisted of a blue buck which won the blue class at stafford 2007 and two does which he had bred himself. A self blue doe bred from this trio was the dam of the blue cup winner at the 2011 National young stock show.

Having bred a few blues which would make good stock rabbits I have decided to keep six blue does to form a small stud. As the old buck is now past his best and as no new blood had been put in to the line for several years I was offered a quality blue buck by Brian Marsh of Goldsborough Stud which was gratefully recieved along with two Les Davies self black does. I am sure these rabbits can only enhance this small stud.
